A little empire

Nobody does a mini dress like the 1960’s.

This dress is styled so simply in its spread in Vogue. They literally gave the model no accessories save for a simple headband. No shoes even. And yet this dress shines off the page.

Its sweet details like the row of lace under the bust and the puffy sleeves that tailer in a fitted band around the arm make this dress an absolute dream. It is sporting slightly coned breasts but we would expect nothing less from a dress born of the 60’s.

The original photo is in black and white so it’s hard to tell what color this dress actually came in, but it still charms as a simple white dress.

The desire to frolic in a flower field is strong with this dress but it also looks like the perfect fit for a date night/night out of the town if paired with the right accessories (and shoes, of course… please wear shoes).
